Getting a PDF Ready for Print

Match the Paper Size to Where It's Actually Being Printed

The most common print surprise is a page-size mismatch: A4 (used across most of the world) and US Letter (used mainly in the United States and Canada) are close in size but not identical, and a document formatted for one can print with unexpected margins or scaling on the other.

Resize PDF rescales every page to a standard size — A4, US Letter, US Legal or A3 — fitting existing content to the new dimensions. Use it whenever a document is heading to a printer or a country that uses a different standard size than the one it was originally created in.

Resolution: More Isn't Always Better

Exporting at 300 DPI ("print quality") for something that will only ever be viewed on a screen just produces a needlessly large file with no visible benefit. For web use, 96-150 DPI is normally indistinguishable from higher resolutions at typical screen viewing sizes, and loads considerably faster.
