Privacy Policy

The Short Version

We don't require an account, we don't sell data, and every file you upload is automatically deleted from our servers — the uploaded original and the processed result both — shortly after your job finishes or a short time limit passes, whichever comes first. We never open, read, scan or share the contents of your files.

Files You Upload

When you use a tool such as Merge PDF or Compress PDF, your file is uploaded to a temporary, isolated workspace on our server, processed by the requested operation, and made available to you as a download. Neither the original upload nor the processed result is stored permanently: both are removed automatically by a scheduled cleanup process once their retention window has passed, and this window is short — measured in minutes, not days. We do not back up, archive or retain copies of any file you process.

Information We Collect

Because there is no account system, we don't collect names, email addresses or payment details for using any tool. Standard server logs record technical information common to nearly every website — IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp — used only to operate the site, apply rate limits against abuse, and diagnose errors. If you email us directly, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to respond to you.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: a session cookie required for basic site security (see our Cookie Policy for the full list) and, if you use the theme toggle, a browser-local preference (not a cookie) remembering light or dark mode. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies at this time.

Analytics

Analytics is currently disabled on My PDF — no analytics script runs, and no visitor-level browsing data is collected or sent to any analytics provider. If analytics is ever enabled, this section will describe exactly what is collected and why before it goes live, and our Cookie Policy will list any resulting cookie individually.

Third Parties

File processing happens entirely on our own infrastructure using local, open-source tools — no file or its contents is ever transmitted to a third-party service or API for processing. If advertising is enabled on this site in the future, that section of this policy will be updated before it goes live, not after.

Data Retention

Uploaded files and their processed results are retained only for the short window described above under "Files You Upload" — typically minutes, never days — after which they are deleted automatically and cannot be recovered. Standard server logs are retained only as long as needed for security and diagnostic purposes, then rotated out and removed on a schedule.

Your Rights

Since we don't hold ongoing personal data tied to an account, most data-access or deletion requests are already satisfied by design — your files are gone within minutes of processing regardless. For anything else, including questions about server logs, contact us at contact@mypdf.tech.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it. Significant changes will be reflected here in plain language, not buried in legal text.
